As you may know the 941 Theater is run and administered by the Philadelphia Friends of the Projected Arts. The PFPA is a non-profit organization that we set up to support the Theater as well as advocate the cause of the Projected Arts in Philadelphia. We are excited to announce that the PFPA has become a legal entity in the state of PA, but we need money for start up funds to get everything rolling.

Check out the new website for the PFPA at www.projectedarts.org for more details on what the PFPA intends to do to keep Projected Arts accessible to everyone, not just the major studios!

Please click on the donate button or go to our website and donate a few bucks to our efforts. If you are a filmmaker please take a second to reflect on the incredibly limited amount of small theaters where you can show your movie with ease and kick in a few bucks to help build a place for your art. A suggested donation of $15 will go a long way towards helping us out. But we’ll take whatever you want to kick in.

CLICK HERE TO DONATE - THIS LINK WORKS!

In return, whoever donates will be put on a special list to recieve discounts on admissions and concessions once we start our 941 Membership Program, which includes admission to our bi-annual members-only parties which we guarantee will be exclusive, swanky and awesome.

Please donate what you can so we can keep the ball rolling. As you know the Theater is going to be a really amazing thing for everyone so kick in a few bucks!

Pioneer Theater - 155 East 3rd Street, New York, NY 10009
9pm - $10 - Special Guest Hosts TBA!

Fully interactive theater experience - the Audience answers Trivia questions to direct where the movie will go!

SLUMBER PARTY SLAUGHTERHOUSE: THE GAME will have it's NYC Premiere this October 11th, and will premiere in LA Oct 23-29th and in Philly on Oct 25th! More info on these screenings below!

Check out the link for more info!

www.halo8.tv

In SLUMBER PARTY SLAUGHTERHOUSE: THE GAME, audiences get the chance to put their horror movie trivia skills to the test while also helping a recently deceased high school geek take revenge on his former friends. The story follows Paul Tard, a geek killed on the eve of his high school graduation by his friends greed. Paul's friends are throwing a graduation party with hookers and drugs, and after dying Paul sells his soul to a demon in exchange for the power to take revenge on his former friends.

Structurally, SLUMBER PARTY SLAUGHTERHOUSE: THE GAME is a trivia challenge. Whenever Paul wants to kill one of his friends, the demon asks a horror movie trivia question and the film dissolves to a multiple choice menu. If the audience chooses the correct answer, Paul gets the power to kill his ex-friend (and the friend's hooker, to tie up those pesky loose ends); but the wrong answer will send Paul to hell unavenged. Each "killscene" in the film is written and directed by a different Halo-8 filmmaker and stars actors from Halo-8 films.

This innovative feature stars Tiffany Shepis ("NIGHTMARE MAN"), Melissa Bacelar ("PINK EYE," Lionsgate's upcoming "SKINNED ALIVE"), Katie Nisa ("THREAT"), and Joanna Angel (TLC's "L.A. INK," "SICK & TWISTED HORROR"), Masuimi Max ("INLAND EMPIRE," "THE DEVIL'S MUSE") as well as several of the girls of BurningAngel.com in a narrative, splatterpunk DVD-game with scenes written and directed by numerous filmmakers on the Halo-8 roster including Matt Pizzolo (THREAT), Joanna Angel, Doug Sakmann ("PUNK ROCK HOLOCAUST"), Joshua Nelson ("PINK EYE"), Ramzi Abed ("THE DEVIL'S MUSE"), Kurly Tlapoyawa ("GIMME SKELTER"), and Peter Hoare ("BEER THE MOVIE") and more!

Punk Rock Holocaust 2 and Slumber Party Slaughterhouse in Hollywood!
October 23-29th at the Engine Theater!

Punk Rock Holocaust 2 is proud to be a part of this year’s ' 8 Films to Kill For', with screenings every day at 6pm for a week in Hollywood at the Engine Theater! Slumber Party Slaughterhouse will also screen at Midnight each day!

Joanna Angel will host the kick off party on October 23rd, and Punk Rock Holocaust 2 star Meghan Mayhem will introduce the film on Oct 24th and 25th!

8 FILMS TO KILL FOR: HALO-WEEN FEST program
at The Engine Theater: 1636 Wilcox Ave, Hollywood CA 90028

The program consists of seven films playing every day all week, including "PINK EYE," "THE DEVIL'S MUSE," "GIMME SKELTER," "PUNK ROCK HOLOCAUST 2," "THREAT," and "N.Y.H.C." The eighth film, Halo-8's controversial and critically acclaimed documentary "YOUR MOMMY KILLS ANIMALS," will be distributed on DVD to all attendees as a Halloween treat - free with admission.

Each night will be capped off by the unique "SLUMBER PARTY SLAUGHTERHOUSE: THE GAME," a hybrid film-screening/live-event that mixes pub-trivia with Rocky Horror-style 'Audience Participation.'

Directors, writers, actors, and actresses from the participating films will be on-hand to chat with fans at the after-parties and try their best to win the trivia contests.

"The most important thing an indie movie studio can do is provide a sense of community for its filmmakers and fans," said Halo-8 president Matt Pizzolo. "Our roster of artists are cinema lovers who enjoy one another's films and love connecting directly with audience-members. Our job is to provide a venue for those connections to take place, and we think a redefined theatrical experience might be the best way to do that."

Get all the details and full schedule here!

And don't forget, both Punk Rock Holocaust 1 & 2 are now available on DVD at www.punkrockholocaust.com and www.amazon.com!

About 'Isle of the Damned':
The notorious Cannibal movie is finally released in North America!
Also screening Oct 17th - North American Premiere in Baltimore – 8pm - $10
Creative Alliance – 3134 Eastern Ave, Baltimore MD 21224

In Antonello Giallo's follow up to the notorious Pleasures of the Damned, private investigator Jack Steele is hired by a mysterious treasure hunter to help find the lost treasure of Marco Polo. Along for the trip is Jack's adopted son, Billy. Their search brings them to an island off the coast of Argentina... and into the clutches of a primitive cannibal tribe, the Yamma Yamma.

Isle of the Damned, originally released in Italy in 1980, brought Giallo under fire yet again by the Italian government, who were outraged by the shocking and real scenes of primitive tribal rituals and cannibalism portrayed in the film. The film has been long out of print, but is presented here in a digitally remastered form.

The screenings will include:
-Film preceded by interview with Luigi Giallo, Antonello's son
-Message from reknowned anthropologist, Dr. Livingstine.
- In compliance with FCC regulations, a nurse will be on staff at this public performance of Isle of the Damned in the event of any medical emergencies brought on by the psychological torment that this film has inflicted on previous viewers. This film contains REAL footage of bizarre primitive rituals, savage atrocities, and cannibalistic acts of depravity. The restorationists of this film STRONGLY urge that those with heart conditions, expectant mothers, and impressionable youth NOT BE ADMITTED to the theatre.
