In the Backseat with Evan Meszaros

Writer/Director of the horror/thriller feature, 'Windcroft', Evan Meszaros has worked with the members of Backseat for close to 10 years now. Before directing his first feature, Evan worked multiple jobs on mainstream as well as independent productions. His skills as sound recordist and mixer have been intergral to many Backseat projects. Using everything he learned over the years, Evan was finally able to complete his first feature, 'Windcroft'. The movie has recieved great reviews and has been a film festival favorite, winning many awards. Currently Evan is finishing production on a series of commercials for Trojan's 'Evolve' campaign and is starting development on his second feature.

In the Backseat with Conrad Stojak

Writer/Director of the semi-autobiographical Drama feature, 'The Woodhaven Pause' Conrad Stojak has been a part of the Backseat Team since it's inception in late 2002. He was with the team on the first trek out on the Vans Warped Tour in 2002 and is one of the founders of 'Cheese Theatre', the first sketch comedy group from Queens. Usually known for his biting wit and dry sarcasm, his first feature film was a definite change of pace from his past resume.

In the Backseat with Matt Pizzolo

Founder of Halo-8 Productions and Creator of the new interactive DVD game 'Slumber Party Slaughterhouse', Matt Pizzolo has been a friend to Backseat since the beginning. Besides colloborating with Backseat on numerous projects, Pizzolo's company provides distribution for several films Matt discovered through the Backseat Film Festival such as 'Gimme Skelter', ' The Devil's Muse' and even the Backseat feature 'Punk Rock Holocaust 2'. Pizzolo also has directed several projects, his first feature being the award winning film 'Threat'.

In the Backseat with Dave Popolow

Filmmaker and stop-motion animator David Popolow has been working with Backseat Conceptions for nearly three years now. In 2005, (when this interview was conducted) Poplow created various animated projects for Backseat Conceptions, most notably the 'Eyeball Octopus' bumpers that are used at the head of Backseat DVD releases. Currently David is assistant editing a Nassau Chainsaw Music Video for the song 'Behind Enemy Lines' with Director Doug Sakmann.
