Backseat Conceptions is a partnership between three main producers with a network of professional crew members across the US and around the world.

As a Philly-born production company BC has been involved on the cutting edge of the Philadelphia film and video scene since 2003. From producing iconic local music videos & indie films to providing crew and production services for major motion pictures and national television shows, Backseat is one of the most vibrant and successful production companies in Philadelphia.

Backseat has consistently displayed its commitment to alternative voices through its various community outreach projects and live events: the Backseat Film Festival which brought unique films from around the world to Philly, the 941 Theater which projected local programming and highlighted emerging talents and the Philadelphia Film and Music Festival which showcases filmmakers and musicians from around the world. Backseat is uniquely positioned to deliver an engaging product in Philadelphia as well as worldwide.

Backseat Conceptions' main office is located in 2424 Studios in Fishtown, Philadelphia. Our space has the capacity to act as a full production and post-production office including separate studio space for auditions and rehearsals. We have multiple post production stations and edit in both Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere. We support all HD formats and cameras.

The BC office is at 2424 Studios, an office complex that caters to creative businesses, this gives us easy access to a large variety of ancillary services such as photography studios, green screen studios, recording studios, furniture rental, live event AV equipment rental and more.

2424 Studios also has an amazing event space called the Skybox, boasting 6,200 sq. ft. of open space, 30 ft ceilings, hardwood flooring, and a full sound system. The space houses the screen and projector from the 941 Theater and is available for screenings as well as any kind of public or private event that you can imagine. We provide a variety of services for our clients. Since Backseat is so active on such a wide variety of projects we can do all this crap with our eyes closed.

Backseat has a esteemed group of creatives that it works with to develop projects. But creative development does not happen in a vacuum, Backseat uses its extensive industry contacts to aid in project development, we consult with network staff, studio personnel, directors, producers, agents, etc to guide the growth of a concept and give it the best chance of success.

Many of the projects that we've developed and run through Backseat have gone on to win prestigious awards, make money and secure mainstream development.

The producers at Backseat have been running jobs for over 15 years. We've worked in nearly every state and done a handful of international jobs as well. We have excellent relationships with crew and vendors in NYC, LA, Philly and nationwide. Additionally Backseat has various production assets such as a Production RV, a van, our Philly Production office, home offices in Manhattan, Jersey City and various production kits. Backseat holds 3mil aggrigate production insurance, workman's comp and payroll services. Backseat is a non-signatory company.

Backseat has multiple post production stations at its Philadelphia offices and an on staff editor. We also have an incredible line up of freelance editors in NYC who we use regularly. Backseat offers hourly and daily rates on assisted or unassisted editing.

For projects with lots of digital footage Backseat is expert at digital workflow, organization and backup of digital assets. We have provided this service for several television shows and countless short projects.

For delivery Backseat can help you with distribution for your project whether it's for broadcast television, theatrical projection, digital distribution or a run of DVDs, Backseat has done it all for innumerable projects. Our experience will help you develop a distribution scheme that will maximize your projects reach and exposure without wasting money.

Backseat also has a strong promotions capacity which has been honed by years of promo events and promotional touring. Backseat events have been covered by many major news outlets and top websites.

Backseat has its roots in promotional touring we've done multiple cross country tours and four years of promotions on the Warped Tour which is the countries largest and most successful summer rock tour. Backseat's current tour bus is our second, the first one is retired in Texas after many years of faithful service.

Let's face it, we'll do anything you pay us for but since the company was officially created in 2003 we have been doing some jobs more than others.

As an active company in a small market Backseat knows everybody in town and regularly develops talent Backseat is a go-to for out-of town companies looking for reliable crew. Often our people are so excellent that they are invited to become permanent members of touring crews.

Backseat's experience in selling its own brands paired with extensive experience crewing on national commercials gives us an in-depth understanding of what is needed for a commercial campaign to be successful. We've proved this by producing multiple web advertisements which have gotten literally millions of hits.

Backseat has made countless music video, some have been directed by our own directors, we've done the creative on some, all have been excellent.
